About Landpak Agrishade

Landpak Agrishade cloth is manufactured from virgin high density polyethylene and is UV stabilised
to withstand harsh weather conditions.

This product is lock-stitched for maximum stability and incorporates eyelets for ease of erection.
Landpak Agrishade cloth is available in shade factors from 20% to 80%. Standard size rolls are
3m x 50m but can be customised to suit a clients requirements.

Landpak Agrishade will assist in both protecting plants and in promoting favourable growing
conditions. Landpak Agrishade is also extremely useful for protecting livestock from
extreme sun, wind and hail.

Advantages of Landpak Agrishade

Crop Protection

Strength and durability are integral elements of this product and ensure that
protection against strong winds, heavy rain, hail and extreme sun is provided
Crops are protected against most bird and insect species
Air movement is controlled resulting in significantly reduced surface evaporation (and thus reduced irrigation and fertilisation costs). Furthermore crops can also still be sprayed despite windy conditions outside of the shade structure
50% shade cloth has proved invaluable for wind barrier constructions that reduce erosion and to protect crops against wind damage

Temperature Control

The cloth's ability to breathe means that hot air trapped under the cloth can escape thus allowing the air temperature to drop and allowing a more mild growth temperature
Temperature is regulated meaning that sun and frost damage to crops is minimised
Landpak Agrishade can be used on plastic tunnels and green houses for temperature control. This combination will also significantly increase the life expectancy of the plastic sheeting

Plant Photosynthesis and Plant Production

The plants photosynthesis process is improved by manipulating the amount and quality of light it receives, resulting in maximised plant production

Early Harvesting & Higher Market Prices

The optimum growing conditions that are created by using Landpak Agrishade result in earlier maturing crops. This enables farmers to market their crops earlier in the season and consequently to achieve higher prices for their produce

Livestock Protection

80% shade cloth has proved extremely useful in the dairy industry for shade structures to reduce heat stress in dairy cattle. This results in improved fertility, fewer re-absorptions, an increase in production (as well as higher solids) and a decrease in somatic cell counts (SCC)
Landpak Agrishade can be used by small stock farmers for structures to protect sheep, goats and ostriches against extreme heat as well as from hail, snow and wind

Warranty

LANDPAK AGRISHADE shade cloth / net is manufactured from virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and LANDPAK warrants that all it's manufactured shade cloth will not degrade or show serious evidence of material breakdown as a result of exposure to the sun (ultra violet rays) for a period of 8 (eight) years from the date of manufacture.

No warranty applies where the damage is a result of mechanical abrasion, chemical erosion, damage caused by the erection process or excessive loading beyond the tear and tensile strength of the products. The warranty only extends to the cracking or breakdown as the result of degradation caused by the sun and LANDPAK will only replace the affected cloth / net on a pro-rata basis.

Exposure of HDPE to certain strong oxidising agents, such as fuming sulphuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, nitration acid, chrom-sulphuric acid, coal tar products, creosote and halogens, can lead to the degradation of the products, and where the products are to be used in areas exposed to chemical contamination, reference should be made to the LANDPAK technical department before erection of the products. LANDPAK accepts no liability to any party or property for any use of any LANDPAK product in a manner for which the product is not intended.

This warranty only applies to the original purchaser producing the original invoice, samples of the damaged product and the giving of access to LANDPAK staff or representative to inspect the affected shade cloth / net on site.

Exclusions

LANDPAK's products may exhibit colour fading after 8 (eight) years exposure to the sun with the exception of red or yellow coloured products which may exhibit colour failure after 3 (three) years.
This warranty applies only to the purchaser of the product and no claims for reimbursement of installation expenses or any consequential claims, indirect or direct will be entertained. LANDPAK accepts no liabilities for damage or injuries caused through failure of the products, or failure of steel or wooden or any other structures to any party or property. The onus is upon the client to ensure that the product is free of possible mechanical flaws before the product is erected.
Except for the warrantees said forth above LANDPAK expressly disclaims and exclude all other guarantees, warrantees, conditions and representations, either express or implied, whether arising under statute law, commercial usage or otherwise.
NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE IS GIVEN BY LANDPAK TO ANY OF ITS PRODUCTS THAT MAY BE EXPOSED TO FIRE OR OPEN FLAMES.

This warranty will only come into effect if the original purchaser replaces the affected material solely through LANDPAK or its agents.
